CR-39 (Plastic) Lenses

CR-39 Lenses
The most common prescription lens choice, CR-39 lenses provide better clarity than polycarbonate lenses. However CR-39 will most likely be heavier and have less impact resistance.

Polycarbonate Lenses

Polycarbonate Lenses
Polycarbonate lenses are thinner and lighter than traditional CR-39 lenses. Polycarbonates feature UV coatings and are impact resistant, making them a great choice for active people.

Hi Index Lenses

Hi Index Lenses
Hi Index lenses are the thinnest eyewear material we offer. Since Hi Index provides a lighter and more slender alternative for thick prescriptions, we recommended these lenses for those with a high prescription of -4.00 and above.

Trivex Lenses

Trivex Lenses
Trivex is a new lens material that combines superior optics, strong impact resistance and ultra light-weight lens material (30% lighter than CR-39 lenses and 8% lighter than Polycarbonate lenses). Trivex lenses provide the highest level of comfort and clarity, making them an ideal choice for those who have a light prescription and require a high quality performance lens.

Digital Lenses

Digital Lenses
Digital “free-form” lenses are the newest innovation in eyewear manufacturing and can be made out of any lens material. Using precise measurements and advanced lens manufacturing technology, your prescription is custom fit over the entire backside of the lens (similar to contacts). Compared to traditional lenses, digital lenses will give you a 40% wider field of view and are recommended for those with astigmatism and/or a higher prescription.
Huxley Optical is proud to exclusively offer digital lenses in all of our progressive eyewear.
